It’s True, I Was Made For You

All of these lines across my face
Tell you the story of who I am
So many stories of where I’ve been
And how I got to where I am
But these stories don’t mean anything
When you’ve got no one to tell them to
It’s true, I was made for you

Today… just some beautiful lyrics of the song Daniel and I danced to four years ago when I thought I loved him as much as I possibly could love someone. Today, I can’t believe how much more I love him. He is my rock, my go-to for help, my strongest supporter, my comforter, and my favorite human. Without him and Jesus, I don’t know where I’d be. He has taught me so much about how to be a strong person who stands up for what’s right. He’s also taught me how to be a parent who shows compassion and love in a way I’ve never seen before. He’s shown me how to trust even when it’s hard. When I need a shoulder to cry on or a big, warm hug, he’s waiting for me. Even if I have cold feet in bed and stick them under his legs to warm them up, he lets me! What a keeper.

I am so thankful for the way he provides, how selfless he is, his heart for people and Jesus, and the way he gives of his time, talent, and treasure. Right now he’s half way across the world, and though we aren’t able to spend this day together, I’m reminiscing and smiling as I await his arrival back home to us.

I climbed across the mountain tops
Swam all across the ocean blue
I crossed all the lines, and I broke all the rules
But, baby, I broke them all for you
Oh because even when I was flat broke
You made me feel like a million bucks
You do
I was made for you
For you

You see the smile that’s on my mouth
It’s hiding the words that don’t come out
And all of my friends who think that I’m blessed
They don’t know my head is a mess
No, they don’t know who I really am
And they don’t know what
I’ve been through like you do
And I was made for you

Our worlds collided, and we are now one. We’re not perfect, but I couldn’t be more thankful for the man who gives all he has for me and our family.

Happy birthday and anniversary my love!! It’s true. I was made for you.

Dearest Allison; I knew the moment I met you, you were something special. I knew you would make mistakes, as we all do. I knew you would always choose the right path for you at the time. I watched you grow from a teenager to a grown women who was lovely, energetic, smart, kind and very, very determined. I admired that the most. When Christopher was born I knew you would be the best mom you could ever be and that your focus was totally on him. As time went on and you met the man of your dreams, I couldn’t have been happier for you and your new family. Randy and I watched with joy at how graceful and beautiful and happy you looked on your wedding day. It couldn’t have been more perfect. Now four years later, we want to wish you both Happy Anniversary and many, many more! All our love…….Annette & Randy xoxxxxx
